Chapter 9: University Park

This is a fun (I hope) chapter in which I introduce a character who was not originally scheduled to make an appearance until later in the book, but on further reflection I decided to give him an earlier scene to give some context to his subsequent appearance. (Actually, there are two characters in this chapter, but only one of them will reappear later in the book. I'll bet that you can guess which one.)

As I said, I'm basically shooting for a humorous interlude (if you didn't know that, I guess it didn't work), but I also want to leave you with a sense of foreboding, something that will make you want to keep reading so that you can find out exactly what horrible things are going to happen...
